We may be more familiar with songs like “Blowin’ In The Wind”, “Like A Rolling Stone”, and “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”, but one of Bob Dylan’s inspirations was Woody Guthrie. As one of thousands of Okies who moved to California looking for work, many of Guthrie’s songs speak to the life of working class people. His most timeless and still recognizable song, “This Land is Your Land”, is in the Library of Congress and has been recorded in many different languages with altered lyrics to fit fit diverse countries, regions, languages, and ethnic groups.
